INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCES ON AFRICAN DEVELOPMENT AND SUSTAINABILITY

The importance of intenrational conferences
International conferences are important fora for academic self-development through peer-review of submitted abstract/paper, critiques of presented papers, interaction with peers from across the globe for collaborative projects and exchange programmes, and meeting the increasing demand for intenrational conferencesas part of requirements for academic appraisal and promotion.

The importance of thesis clinic
Graduate students, researchers and early-career academics have issues with research projects, including the inability to craft a project/dissertation/thesis topic with measurable constructs, inability to conceptualise and problematise a study from motivations built on observations and literature, difficulty expressing the aims/objectives/research questions and hypotheses of a study, inability to express the significance/scope/limitations/delimitations and other essential parts of a study, difficulty identifying needed data types and sources, inability to design study methodology (study location, population, sample size, data collection instrument, data analytical techniques and tools, appropriate research project report writing technique, citations and references), and writing research project reports. Research project supervision often results in avoidable tensions, ill-feelings and attendant poor scores at internal and external examination levels. Besides, most of the successful academic research reports lie waste and gather dust on shelves because the researcher cannot translate them into articles publishable in reputable journals. This leads to waste of research and development (R&D) funds and paucity of data and research findings for engagement in effective development projects and programmes. A thesis clinic, usually attached to an academic conference, seeks to fill these gaps.

International Conferences on African Development and Sustainability (icads.online) is a new domain name for the website hosting a series of international conferences and thesis clinics since 2016.
Poorly remunerated African scholars need international conferences and thesis clinics to be brought to their doorsteps for affordability because they lack research grants, unlike their counterparts in other parts of the globe.

Four international conferences and four thesis clinics have already been successfully conducted between November 2016 and November 2017, while two international conferences and two thesis clinics will be handled in 2018 (see Table).
Papers presented, critiqued, correctd and returned have been published in our highly reputable international journals:
